Michael J. Cotton is a native of Greensboro, N.C.  He accepted the Lord Jesus as his Savior in 1982 at First African Baptist Church in Savannah, Georgia.

He is a graduate of North Carolina Central University, the University of Florida and holds the Master of Divinity Degree from Houston Graduate School of Theology.  

He received the call into pastoral ministry December of 1997. After serving as an Associate Pastor at Mt. Pleasant Christian Church in Greensboro, Pastor Cotton felt the call to revitalize a Disciples of Christ Church in High Point, N.C.  He has served as Pastor of Body of Christ Christian Church since its inception in August of 1999. He has been married over 40 years to Nola Cotton. 

 

The most important aspect about Pastor Cotton is that he is on a constant journey to love the Lord God with all of his heart, soul and strength.  He strongly believes that the purpose of the Church is to make “disciples.”  Pastor Cotton is committed to sound, clear biblical teaching with the purpose of transforming lives for the glory of God.
